5 – 5ks in 5 days – Dairy Queen Loop
This week I set out to run/walk a 5k every day. This was a big goal, but it felt doable. I’m a person that does really well with a routine. If I can follow a pattern, I’m much more successful. So I’m trying to establish this as my morning routine. Getting out of bed at 5:30am has been very easy since it’s something I’ve done for years. I’ve been taking the same route down Milwaukie to the Dairy Queen and back each day which is about 3.30 miles. The sidewalks are well lit and I see lots of other folks out exercising. I’m walking 3 minutes and then running for 1 minute. My body is doing really well with this arrangement . I’ve had almost no pain this week. The sunrise on Friday was such a treat. It felt like a reward for getting out all this week. I’m hoping to do the same next week too.
I couldn’t just completely stop taking pictures. I decided to take 1 picture where Milwaukie crosses over McLoughlin mainly because it’s my only good view on this route. I like seeing how different the same view can be from day to day. This was Monday.
