Taft Beach in Lincoln City is one of my favorite beaches to walk.  Usually there seal lions beached across the small bay which I always love to see.  It’s also a great place for beach combing.  I stopped here on the way to my mom’s house for short vacation.  It was a beautiful day and such a wonderful walk.

I love this photo.  I love that this elderly gentleman is smoking a pipe while he’s beach-combing.  Later, he came up to me and gave me advice on how to beach-comb better.  He also gave me a handful of agates he had found.  Such a nice man and I’m so glad I capture this memory in his silhouette.
