100 Paces South of Home
One exercise Karen Walrond taught us at the World Domination Summit is the 100 Paces exercise. I knew instantly this was an exercise that I wanted to start doing. Basically all you do is walk 100 paces and where ever you land, you take 20 pictures. It’s a way to practice seeing your surroundings in a new light and to hone your photography skills.
Yesterday when I went walking, I started off by conducting this exercise. I ended up about a block or so from my house and under a chestnut tree. One thing I like about this exercise is that since it’s such a short distance from the starting point, I can easily use my big camera. When I’m out walking, my first focus is on exercise which is why I only carry my iPhone with me. I can’t wait to see how this exercise expands my eye and photography skills.
I can’t wait to see it as well!
(thanks for the kind shout-out!)
