Strolled 5.19 Miles
This started off as a walk, but quickly turned into a stroll. My husband and I decided to walk to the Sellwood library and stop for lunch along the way. We started off at a brisk pace trying to follow the goals we’d set up in RunKeeper. At about a mile in, my legs started to really hurt. It felt like a burning sensation in my ankles and lower leg. I had to slow down to a stroll, but I kept walking. I think my body isn’t used to all of this crazy walking and is starting to react just a bit. I have to remember that it’s just my first week. Training takes time. It will get easier. So instead of worrying about trying to maintain a certain pace, I enjoyed the leisurely walk with my husband. We had a great time.
