My bags are packed and I’m ready to go. Well, almost. I still need to double check everything. My husband can be a bit obsessive at times, so tonight will be filled with checking and re-checking to make sure we have everything and that the house won’t burn down. We will be getting up tomorrow morning at 2:30am to allow extra time to check things a third time. At least we will be able to sleep on the plane.
I’m going to miss my cats desperately! Before we leave on a trip, I sit them down and tell them to be good. Trilly is always left in charge because he’s the oldest and (let’s face it) the smartest. I tell Atty that he has to mind his brother. Luckily, I have a very good friend who will be coming to feed them and to make sure that they are still alive. My cats have a thing for opening all the cupboard doors in the kitchen. It looks a little like a poltergeist came for a visit. I warned my friend when she feed my cats last time not to be frightened if one day the cupboard doors were all shut and the next they were all open. I didn’t want her to think that there was an intruder in the house.
This pictured was taken on the plane to Kansas for the Thanksgiving visit. It was a gorgeous sunrise. It’s so amazing to see a sunrise from a plane.
