Watercolor Class – Week 4

Posted on Apr 27, 2006

This week in my water color class we learned about background washes.  This is all the stuff in the background of a painting that will mostly be covered up when the painting is done.  For example, there will be green grass where the yellow is now.  The yellow just serves to add some depth to the final picture.  All the green will have tree detail put in and the water will be different as well.  Right now it looks like a wave is going to over take my barn.  Hopefully, it will look better when it’s finished.
