Watercolor Class – Week 6

Posted on May 11, 2006

I wasn’t able to attend week 5 of my watercolor class.  I had to work late.  My sister took my niece instead and she got to paint a bit.  For week 6, we did location painting in the park that is next door to the school where I’m taking my class.  I was thrilled to move onto trees.  I’m not a big fan of buildings and probably won’t paint much of them in the future.  I’m way more into trees and flowers.  It was freezing cold outside (got to love Oregon weather) so I would paint some, warm my hands and paint some more.  I’m very happy with how this turned out, although It’s not done.  I need to layer in a lot more grass and a few more leaves in my trees.  All in all, it’s a good start.  This was the first time I left the class feeling like I had actually painted something.  Maybe I am learning a thing or two.

  1. LOOKS GREAT. That’s so awesome! Wait so what happened with what you posted from Week 4? Did you ever finish that? I wanted to see how all that was going to turn out!
