Christmas Present – Photo Cards

Posted on Jan 10, 2008

An easy present that turned out really well are these photo cards.  The top cards went to my mother-in-law.  I took this picture of calla lilies in her yard.   The bottom cards went to my mom.  She lives about a mile from the Yaquina Head lighthouse in Newport, OR.  I took the photo while staying at her house.  I really liked that I could give them note cards that had a personal nature to them.

I used Kodak Gallery for these cards.  I will definitely make photo note cards again, but I don’t know if I would use Kodak in the future.  They have a tendency to crop your image in weird places.  So I had to adjust and make sure that I was printing exactly what I wanted.  I waited for a sale (I am my mother’s daughter) and that made them very reasonably priced.  The more you buy, the cheaper the cards are.  I bought eleven of each picture.  That eleventh card pushed me into a cheaper price bracket.  I gave my moms 10 cards each and then I gave the extra to my cousin as a small bonus present.

  1. I’ll probably never send these cards to anybody, because they’re so beautiful that I don’t want to part with them. I love the fact that they are photos of my own flowers in my own yard. You’re so thoughtful and creative!
