Presents of Mind

Posted on Jun 3, 2008

OK, last post about my Birthday.  I couldn't move on until showcasing the amazing local jewelry my oldest friend got me.  She bought all of my presents at Presents of Mind.  This store is a favorite of everyone I know.  It's the go to place to find amazing unique presents for everyone in the family.  They do a great job of featuring as many local artists as possible.  It is a goal of mine to get some of my jewelry into their shop.

I was blown away when I got to see all of my new goodies.  This top necklace is gorgeous.  It made by Rachel Ann Austin.  I've admired her work for years and even showcased her as a WAW artist a couple of years ago.  I've been wearing this piece a lot.  I've gotten lots of compliments, but my favorite has been 'this necklace just looks like you'.

I love these barrettes by Little Daisy Chains.  I've seen this artist at the Rebel Rabbit Craft Fairs I participated in.  I've always loved her stuff.

These earrings are adorable!  I think they were made from old buttons, but I'm not exactly sure.  I don't know who made these.

Lastly, I received this pendant.  I also don't know who made this.  It's so pretty. The base is a scrabble tile which instant gave me all kinds of ideas.

My friend did such a great job picking out things for me.  She does really know me.  I also love looking at a piece of jewelry and instantly knowing who the artist is.  It makes me feel connected to the amazing craft scene in Portland.
