Niagara Falls

Posted on Mar 5, 2011

The day before my cousin's wedding, the family had the opportunity to drive down to Niagara Falls which is only about 90 minutes from Toronto.  None of the 8 people going had seen the falls before which made it lots of fun for all of us.

The Falls are more incredible than I could have imagined.  It was wonderful to see them in February with all the ice.  We were able to view them from the upper lookout of this building.  The lower lookout was closed for the winter.

One nice benefit from visiting in the winter was that there were no crowds.  A lot of the day felt like we had the falls all to ourselves.  I can only imagine how crowded it gets in the summer.

It was an amazing day and I'm so glad I got to spend it with family that I don't get to see all that often.  It was definitely one highlight of our trip.

Yarn bombing at Niagara Falls!  Fun!
