I've blogged about Jolie Guillebeau a couple of times now. It's no secret that I'm a fan. You can read previous posts here and here. She is a constant inspiration by painting every single day. I wish I had an ounce of her motivation! Her current project is to paint 100 faces. I sent her pictures of my cats a few weeks ago and I was super excited when I opened my email last week to find that Jolie had painted Atty.
Here is the picture I sent her of Atty. Jolie also lives in Portland and we became friends because of our common name. We quickly realized that we have much more than that in common. We met last week for Happy Hour and I got to see my painting in person. It's more beautiful than I imagined. For some reason, pictures just don't do it justice. I'm still looking for the perfect place to hang my little guy. I hope to have a matching painting of his brother, Trilly, soon.
Jolie is about halfway through her 100 face series. She is always looking for new faces to paint. I encourage you to send in a face you love to her. You can also sign up for her newsletter here. It always brightens my day to see her paintings each day. It also keeps me motivated to keep working on my craft.
