Encaustic Donation Piece

Posted on Apr 1, 2011

My niece asked me to donate something to her upcoming school auction.  I've never been able to say no to my niece.  I've bought my share of girl scout cookies and wrapping paper from her over the years.  In previous years, I've donated a Short Fuses pendant.  This year, I'm going to donate this encaustic piece.  The plants are from my yard and recycled scrabble and ceramic tiles make up the rest.  I hope it ends up in a good home!

  1. This will end up embedded in our new fireplace mantel. It will look right at home. I love that I have a piece of art that was lovingly made by a local crafter that will be apart of this house until forever.
