One late night while I was channel surfing I saw a young woman playing piano in a restaurant on a cable access channel.  I was mesmerized.  The quality of the show was very bad, but her talent was crazy good.  I had to find out who she was. Saturday, I went to see Cabaret at the Gerding Theater.  I had seen the movie and always loved the music, but it wasn’t until I saw the play that I actually understood the story.   Sorry Liza and Joel, but the movie is a tad confusing and a bit disjointed.  The play on Saturday was powerful, emotional and very well done.
