My four day weekend in Sunriver was so much fun.  We spent one day exploring downtown Bend.  This photo is from a building built in 1916.  There were a whole row of these huge windows with the Bend logo in the middle.  We had lunch at the St Francis School, which is the newest McMenamins restaurant and hotel.  I couldn’t believe how much Bend has changed since I was a kid.  It was a whole new town....

Well, I’m off for a four day weekend at Sunriver, Oregon.  One might think that my life filled with nothing but vacations, but it’s just simply not true.  After this trip, I will be chained to my desk until the end of the year.  My husband built this web-site for some family friends that own this condo.  In exchange we get to stay in the condo for a four day weekend.  It’s great for me...

Vaux’s Swifts

My cousin left yesterday.  We had almost two weeks of fun in and around Portland.  It was so great to catch up and to actually spend quality with him.  Reality is now starting to settle back in.  I return to work tomorrow and I already miss my cousin.  One very fun thing we did was visit the Vaux’s Swifts at Chapman Elementary school.  Each September the Swifts sleep in the Chapman Chimney. ...
