i-pod Sock

i-pod Sock

Posted on Jul 5, 2005

My husband sent me this link to make an i-pod sock.  Apparently they are all the rage, although I had not heard of them before.  I made this for him this weekend while we were at the beach visiting my mom.  It’s always nice to have something to do with my hands while chatting.  I liked how this turned out.  The pattern was easy to follow.  I added the stripes for flare.  Since I just got my...

Paint Pots

For Christmas this year, I got my work friends a gift certificate to Paint Pots.  I figured that it would a fun activity for us to all do and we could spend quality time together.  I prefer gifts like this to just going out and buying something. Of course we finally got around to going about a month or so ago.  I opted to do a sushi plate because I figured I could put candles on it or sushi.  I’ve done paint...

It’s been a long couple of weeks filled with good times and bad.  I figured it was time to jump off my personal saga and get back into the crafts.  That’s really what I’m here for.  I visited my husband at his work a couple of weeks ago.  He was working on a Saturday and I was running errands.  I noticed this little guy in his cubicle.  I made this for my husband a couple of years...

Fused Glass Class #4

Fused Glass Class #4

Posted on Jun 9, 2005

My last fused class was on slumping.  I didn’t think that I would like slumping all that much.  Well, I love it.  It’s so much fun and a lot easier than it looks. Slumping is when you create a form for the glass to melt into and slump.  It’s how people make bowls and really anything that isn’t flat.  We used fiber paper build up a frame for the outside of the object.  For me that...
