Cat Box

Cat Box

Posted on May 12, 2005

Sometimes crafts are born from the most mundane of daily occurrences.  This cabinet stands 8 feet tall.  One day, I put a box on top of it to just get it out of the way.  Well, Trilly decided that the box made for a great bed.  After a couple of days, I just put a towel in the box for his comfort.  Then I got the brilliant idea of lining the box.  I took an old flannel blanket, cut it down and glued in...

Fused Glass

Fused Glass

Posted on May 11, 2005

A friend and I just took a one day fused glass class at our local paintpot store in Hillsdale.  We were able to make 3 pendants each.  These are my creations.  I kept the one in the middle (I’ve been in a weird pink and brown phase lately.)  and gave the other two away as gifts. When I was in Kansas for Thanksgiving, I gave my Aunt and Grandma...

Sunset in Kansas

Sunset in Kansas

Posted on Apr 23, 2005

I am preparing to fly to Kansas next week for my cousin’s wedding.  I was in Kansas last Thanksgiving and was blessed by an amazing sunset.  It’s very rare to see anything of this magnitude in the Northwest.  My Aunt and I walked and walked to find the best place to see the sunset.  It was a very special moment. Here is another shoot of the same sunset.  One thing you will find about me is that...
