Art Exhibit at Home

Posted on Feb 11, 2008

Well, January is over and with that so ends my first photography exhibition.  Instead of putting these in a closet, I decided to continue the art exhibit at my house.  I put sticky tac on the back and had my photos hung in under 10 minutes.  I just eyeballed where they should go.  Looking at this photography, it looks like they could be straightened out a...

Lavender Embroidery

Lavender Embroidery

Posted on Feb 7, 2008

Every year the medical school where I work raffles off a quilt to raise money.  My school has lots of functions through out the year and I usually shy away from them, but I figured this was something I could embrace.  Last October I volunteered to embroider one of the quilt squares.  Each square will have an herb and I picked lavender, because it’s one of my favorite plants.  Well two weeks ago, I got an...

Christmas Present – Grand Finale

Christmas Present – Grand Finale

This is the last of the things I made for Christmas this year.  I saved the best for last.  I set out to make a scarves for the Farmer and his wife.  I used a seed stitch (k1, p1, repeat) for the scarves.  I just love this stitch and couldn’t get enough of it, so I kept making scarves.  In all I made 14 scarves.  My husband said that this was a bit nutty and I think he’s right.  I started...
