New Camera

My husband bought me a brand new Canon camera recently.  It has all the bells and whistles.  It also came with a manual that is humongous.  I need to set aside a large chunk of time to really learn all about this new toy.   I’m hoping to do that in the next couple of months.  But for now, it’s so great to be able to sit across the room and take pictures of my cat without cropping or editing...

My first hat class last Tuesday was amazing.  My friend and I are the only two people in the class.  It’s really great to have so much one on one time with our instructor.  The class is about designing hats.  After a bit of talk about what our possibilities were, we jumped into figuring out how we want our hat.  Since there are only two of us in the class, I figured this was the perfect time to tackle...

I found this flower image on the web.  I put a flower on each side of his last...

While dog sitting last weekend, I spent a lot of time working on glass.  I co-own a kiln that resides at my friend’s house.  It’s a great situation because my husband is afraid of fire.  In the course of 3 days, I ran the kiln 3 times.  Definitely a new record for me.  The first kiln load was filled with an experiment I’m trying to perfect.  Since I’m still getting the kinks worked...
