Pickathon

Pickathon

Posted on Aug 20, 2013

Greg wanted to go to Pickathon as his celebration of his 40th birthday. I must admit, I was a little worried about attending this 3 day music festival. I’m not the best in crowds and I was worried. I’m so glad we went. It was better than anything I expected. They keep the audience levels low and it created a wonderful experience. It never felt uncomfortably crowded. It was so well planned and we had a great time. I...

Portland Oregon Sign Pinata

Karen and I have been friends since 1995. Her 40th Birthday party was last weekend. A month or so ago, she asked me if I would want to help her make a pinata of the Portland Oregon sign for her party. I think my exact words were “hells yes”. We had made plans to meet two weeks before her party, but she was sick and we didn’t meet. Then I was on vacation the weekend before the party. I have to admit, about this time I...

Vacation in Seattle

Greg and I spent 4 days in Seattle to celebrate our anniversary and Greg’s birthday.  We hadn’t been on vacation in ages.  It was nice to return to Seattle.  We haven’t been here for a couple of years.  Our hotel was 4 blocks from Pike Street Market.  Our first night here, we checked out the market.     The weather called for rain pretty much for our entire stay.   We got very soaked this evening, but other...

Greg and I spent a long weekend in Seattle a while back.  On the way up, we made the excursion to Snoqualmie Falls.  This was the first time I’ve been to these amazing falls.  So spectacular!  Of course, the falls makes me (and everyone) think of Twin Peaks.  It was so amazing to finally see them in person. There is a ton of construction happening at the falls.  The trail down to the water was closed due to this.  Still, it was...
