Free-Style Handmade Bags and Skirts

Posted on Jan 29, 2010

I love craft books!  I can't get enough of them.  Granted I seem to collect more than I use, but I figure one day I will have enough free time to making something from all of my books.  My sis got me this craft book for Christmas.  First of all, how can you go wrong with a book about making skirts and bags?  I wear skirts every day to work and I've always wanted to make my own.  Bags are...

Star Pillow

Star Pillow

Posted on May 6, 2008

My last sewing class was this past Sunday.  A 14 inch pillow was my final project.  I was happy because the pillow has a zipper and appliqué.   Both are new skills for me.   My pillow ended up a bit too small for the pillow form.  The instructors first gave us the wrong directions.  I think it worked out all right, but you can see my stitches around the edges of the pillow.  I will probably...

She is also...

Gnomes!

Gnomes!

Posted on Jul 12, 2007

I purchased these three gnomes from my niece for a friend’s Birthday present.  Each gnome is made out of fimo clay and stands less than an inch tall.  They are just adorable!  I love the little flower on the guy on the left and the belt on the guy on the right.  Too cute!  My friend loved them.   It was the perfect gift for her. My niece is taking orders for her gnomes.  Each gnome is...
